Frequently asked questions

How do I move an item without dragging?

Tap the item, then choose a tier under "Move to", or use "Move earlier" and "Move later". These controls work with TalkBack and keyboards.

How do I drag?

Press and hold an item until it lifts, then drag it onto a tier or the Unranked tray and let go. Hold near the top or bottom edge to scroll while dragging.

Where are my boards saved?

On your device only, in the app's private storage. They are saved automatically after every change. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.

The app asked for no permissions. How does it access photos?

It uses the Android photo picker, which shows you your library and passes the app only the pictures you select.

How do I move my boards to a new phone?

Settings › Create backup, then share or save the file. On the new phone install Tierloom and use Settings › Restore from backup. Boards are added as copies; nothing is overwritten.

My exported image is very tall.

That is expected: exports include every tier row completely. Choose "Hide" for unranked items to shorten it, or split a large board into two boards.

Limits

300 items and 20 tiers per board, 30 pictures per import, 500 boards. Pictures are stored at up to 1600 px on the longest side.

Something broke or data seems missing

Do not uninstall the app: that deletes its data. Create a backup from Settings first if you can, then email support with details.
