Tierloom Privacy Policy

Developer: Binary Data Technology · App: Tierloom (Android package com.binarydatatechnology.tierloom) · Effective date: 5 September 2026

Summary

Tierloom is an offline tier list and ranking maker. It does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting and no cloud service in the app. Everything you create stays on your device.

Data the app stores on your device

DataWhere it livesWhy
Boards: titles, tier labels and colours, item captions, orderingApp-private storage on your deviceSo your boards are there when you reopen the app
Pictures you choose to add to a boardCopied (downsized to at most 1600 px) into the app's private folder, with a small thumbnailSo a board keeps its pictures even if the original file moves
Preferences (welcome card dismissed, export defaults)App-private storageTo remember your choices

Your original photos are only read when you pick them; Tierloom never modifies or deletes files in your photo library.

Data the app does not collect

Tierloom does not collect names, email addresses, contacts, location, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, usage analytics or diagnostics. It makes no network requests of its own. The only links to the internet are the buttons in Settings that open this website and the support email address in your browser or email app.

Permissions

Tierloom requests no runtime permissions. Pictures are selected through the Android photo picker or document chooser, which hands the app only the pictures you select. Backups and exports are written through the system file chooser to the folder you pick.

Sharing, exporting and backups

Exported images and backup files leave the device only when you choose Share or Save and pick a destination app or folder. The destination you pick then handles that file under its own privacy policy. A backup file contains your boards and the pictures in them; treat it like any personal file.

Children

Tierloom is a general-audience utility intended for users aged 13 and older. It is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

Data retention and deletion

Data stays on your device until you delete a board in the app or uninstall the app. Uninstalling removes all Tierloom data. Android cloud backup of app data is disabled for Tierloom, so no copy is made on Google servers by the app. See the data deletion page for details.

Security

Data is held in Android's app-private storage, which other apps cannot read on an unmodified device. Because the app has no server, there is no server-side data to protect or breach.

Third parties

The app bundles no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs. Open-source libraries used to build the app (Expo, React Native and related packages) run entirely on the device and do not phone home from this app.

Changes

If a future version adds any data collection, this policy and the in-app privacy screen will be updated before that version is released, and the Google Play Data safety section will be updated to match.
