Quiptych Terms of Use

Developer: Binary Data Technology · App: Quiptych · Effective date: 5 September 2026

1. The app

Quiptych is a free, offline tool for adding captions to photos and building multi-panel memes on your own device. By installing or using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Licence

Binary Data Technology grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Quiptych on Android devices you own or control, in accordance with the Google Play terms of service. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, redistribute or sell the app except where the law expressly permits it.

3. Your content

Everything you create in Quiptych — drafts, captions, imported photos, exports and backups — belongs to you and stays on your device. You are responsible for having the right to use any photo you import and for anything you share from the app. Binary Data Technology never receives, stores or reviews your content, and cannot moderate it.

4. Bundled illustrations

The six starter illustrations are drawn in code specifically for Quiptych. They are original artwork, contain no third-party characters, brands or stock photography, and may be used freely in the images you create with the app. No internet meme library is bundled.

5. Backups and data loss

Because the app has no cloud component, your work exists only on your device unless you create a backup. Deleting a draft, clearing app data or uninstalling the app permanently removes that data. Use Backup in the editor before changing phones.

6. No warranty

Quiptych is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise that it will be error-free or meet every need.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Binary Data Technology is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including loss of data, arising from the use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.

8. Changes and termination

We may update the app or these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the app listing or on this page with a new effective date. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.
