Quiptych Privacy Policy

Developer: Binary Data Technology · App: Quiptych (Android package com.binarydata.quiptych) · Effective date: 5 September 2026

Summary

Quiptych is an offline meme and caption editor. It does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting and no cloud service in the app. The installed app does not hold the Android INTERNET permission, so it cannot send your photos, captions or drafts anywhere.

Photos you choose

You select photos through the Android system photo picker. The app does not request broad photo or storage permission and cannot browse your gallery on its own. A copy of each selected photo is normalised into private app storage; your original file is never modified, moved or deleted.

Export, backup and sharing

Exporting an image, writing a backup ZIP and using the Android share sheet are always actions you start. You choose the destination, and the receiving app or file provider then handles that file under its own privacy policy. A backup ZIP contains the draft and its photos, so keep it somewhere you trust.

Retention and deletion

Drafts remain on your installation until you delete them, clear app storage or uninstall the app. A photo still referenced by another draft, or needed for undo, may remain in private storage after an edit. Clearing app storage or uninstalling Quiptych removes every app-private copy. Exports and backups you saved elsewhere remain until you delete them there. A draft file that cannot be read is preserved in private recovery storage instead of being discarded, so that your work is not silently lost.

Android cloud backup and device-transfer are disabled for this app, so your drafts are not copied off the device by the operating system. Use the in-app Backup feature to move work to a new phone.

Children

Quiptych is a general creator tool intended for people aged 13 and over. It is not designed for or directed to children, contains no advertising or social features, and collects no data from anyone.

Permissions

The released app declares no Internet, camera, microphone, location, contacts or broad media permission. You can confirm this in Android Settings › Apps › Quiptych › Permissions.

Changes

If a future version changes what the app stores or sends, this page will be updated with a new effective date before that version is published.

Contact

For privacy questions, email binarydatatechnology151@gmail.com. Because your drafts exist only on your own device, we cannot access, retrieve or remotely delete them. Anything you voluntarily include in a support email is handled by the email providers involved and used only to answer you.
