1. Who we are
Living Trails ("the game") is published by Binary Data Technology ("we", "us"). By installing or playing the game you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not play.
2. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play the game on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment. You may not sell, sublicense, rent, reverse engineer, decompile, or redistribute the game or its assets, except where that restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
3. Purchases
The game is free to download and includes optional purchases. All purchases are processed by Apple or Google through their own payment systems; we never see or store your payment details.
- Content unlocks and cosmetic packs are one-time, non-consumable purchases tied to the store account you bought them with. You can restore them on a new device using the "Restore purchases" option in Settings.
- Prisms are a consumable in-game currency with no monetary value. They cannot be exchanged for money, transferred between accounts, or redeemed outside the game.
- Everything purchasable is cosmetic, convenience, or access to additional levels. Purchases do not make your creature faster, stronger, or harder to defeat.
Refunds are handled under Apple's and Google's refund policies, not by us. Contact the store you purchased through. Where consumer law in your country gives you additional refund or cancellation rights, those rights apply and nothing here limits them.
4. Advertising
The game contains optional rewarded video advertising, supplied by Google AdMob. It is the only advertising in the game and it works one way only: you are offered a specific reward, you choose whether to watch, and you receive the reward if you watch the video through. There are no banners, no ads between levels, and nothing that interrupts play.
Purchasing the Full Journey unlock removes advertising entirely. Declining to watch never restricts any part of the game — it only means you do not receive that particular optional reward.
The browser version of Living Trails contains no advertising at all.
5. Your progress
Game progress is stored on your device. Uninstalling the game, clearing app data, or resetting progress in Settings will delete it permanently. Use the backup code in Settings if you want to keep a copy you can restore yourself. Purchases are not lost this way — they are restorable through your store account.
6. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to modify the game, tamper with saved data to obtain content you have not paid for, or interfere with other people's use of the game. We may suspend access to purchased content where we reasonably believe it was obtained fraudulently.
7. Availability and changes
We may update, change, or discontinue the game or any part of it. We will not remove content you have already purchased while the game remains available on your platform.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The game is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the game in the twelve months before the claim.
9. Children
The game is suitable for general audiences. If you are under the age of majority where you live, please play with the involvement of a parent or guardian and do not make purchases without their permission.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, without regard to conflict of law rules, and without depriving you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.
