Rigmark is an offline Android notebook for guitar and bass equipment settings, published by Binary Data Technology. This policy describes the launch version identified by package com.binarydata.rigmark, version 1.0.0.
What the app stores
Everything you type: the gear you add (type, maker, model, the name you call it, notes, and the controls you define for it), your presets (title, song, artist, style, notes, the ordered signal chain and the reading you wrote down for each control), your setlists, and your appearance and rehearsal settings. Rigmark also keeps its own copy of any photo you attach to a piece of gear. All of it is held in the app's private storage on your device.
What leaves your device
Nothing, unless you choose it. Rigmark has no account, no server, no advertising and no analytics, and it does not request the Internet permission, so the app cannot send anything to Binary Data Technology or to anyone else. Information leaves the device only through actions you start:
- sharing a preset card as text or as an image through the Android share sheet, after the app shows you a preview of exactly what will be sent;
- saving a preset card image to a location you pick in the system file picker;
- writing a backup .zip file to a location you pick in the system file picker.
Permissions
Rigmark declares no Android permissions. Choosing a photo uses the system photo picker and choosing or saving a file uses the system file picker, so the app only ever receives the single item you select. Your original photo file is read, never modified, moved or deleted.
Backup
Your Rigmark database, settings and the app's own copies of your gear photos are included in Android's standard app backup and device-to-device transfer if you have those enabled. That backup is handled by Google under your Google account settings, not by Binary Data Technology. You can turn it off in your device's Android backup settings.
Retention and deletion
Data stays on your device until you delete it in the app, clear the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstall Rigmark — uninstalling removes the database, the settings and every photo copy the app made. Backup files you saved elsewhere are yours and are not touched. Binary Data Technology holds no copy of your data, so there is nothing further for us to delete on request.
Children
Rigmark is a general-audience music utility and is not directed to children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes
If a future version adds any data collection, this policy and the Google Play Data safety declaration will be updated before that version is released, with a new effective date.
