HOVERWAKE Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-09-19

Last updated: 2026-09-27 Applies to: HOVERWAKE for Android (com.binarydatatechnology.hoverwake.racing)

HOVERWAKE is published by Binary Data Technology, Accra, Ghana. Privacy questions can be sent to binarydatatechnology151@gmail.com.

Game data stored on your device

HOVERWAKE stores unlocked races, finishing places, points, wins, medals, best times, settings, and a cached record of an already verified Full Game subscription (with the time it was last checked) on your device.

To keep races close, a tiny learning model on your device (a few numbers in a file called skill.json) learns from your own race results how quickly the rival riders should go. It runs entirely on the phone, is never sent anywhere, contains nothing that identifies you, and can only change the rivals' pace by a few percent. It is removed with the rest of the local game data. We do not operate a player account, cloud save, multiplayer service, or our own analytics or crash-reporting service. Local game data can be removed by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it.

Device vibration

HOVERWAKE asks Android for the vibration permission so the phone can give a short buzz when your board hits a rival, a pylon or a canoe. The permission only lets the game run the vibration motor. It does not give access to any personal data, and nothing about it is recorded or sent anywhere. The game's SOUND switch does not affect it, and it has no effect on phones without a vibration motor.

Tilt steering and the motion sensor

HOVERWAKE can steer the board when you turn the phone left or right. To do this it reads the phone's motion sensor (the accelerometer) while you race. The reading is used instantly to turn the board and is never stored, recorded or sent anywhere. Android does not require a permission for it, and you can switch it off with the TILT button on the title screen.

Optional rewarded advertising

HOVERWAKE offers optional rewarded ads after a failed run. Ads never interrupt a race. If you choose to watch one, Google Mobile Ads may automatically collect and share the device's IP address (which can indicate general location), app interactions such as launches, taps and video views, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers including the Android advertising ID and app set ID. Google uses this information for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention and encrypts it in transit.

Where required, Google's User Messaging Platform asks for consent before the first ad request. The Privacy options button on HOVERWAKE's title screen lets you review available choices. Android's advertising controls also let you reset or delete the advertising ID. Players who own the ad-free upgrade receive the same continue-run reward without an ad, and the game does not request ads after their entitlement has been established.

Google processes this data under its own terms and privacy policy. See https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Google Play purchases

HOVERWAKE offers the yearly Full Game subscription through Google Play. Google processes the payment, renewals, cancellations and Play account information. HOVERWAKE receives the product, order, and subscription status needed to unlock, restore or end the Full Game; Binary Data Technology does not receive your full payment card details. Google Play purchases are also governed by Google's terms and privacy policy.

Children

HOVERWAKE is not directed to children under 13 and is not enrolled in Google Play Families. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. The advertising and purchase services described above may process data when used, subject to the player's region, consent choices, Google account controls, and applicable law.

Your choices and rights

You may decline an optional rewarded ad and retry the course normally, change available advertising privacy choices from the title screen, manage the advertising ID in Android settings, and manage or restore purchases through Google Play. Contact us to ask about applicable privacy rights. For data held by Google, use Google's privacy controls or contact Google directly.

Security, retention, and international processing

Local game data remains on the device. Google determines retention and international processing for Google Mobile Ads, consent, and Google Play Billing data under its policies. Network data sent by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit.

Changes

If these practices change, we will update this policy and the Google Play Data safety declaration before releasing the changed version.
