Terms of Use
Effective September 5, 2026
These terms apply to the Inkframe Android application, package com.binarydata.inkframe, published by Binary Data Technology. By installing or using Inkframe you agree to them.
Your writing is yours
Everything you write in Inkframe belongs to you. Binary Data Technology claims no ownership of it, receives no copy of it, and has no ability to access it. This includes anything you produce starting from one of the app’s built-in writing structures.
Licence to use the app
You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Inkframe on devices you control. You may not resell the app, or redistribute the app or its bundled writing structures as your own product.
What the app does not do
Inkframe does not connect to the internet, does not post to any social or publishing service, and does not schedule anything anywhere. A planned date in the app is a private note to yourself. Marking a draft “Ready” or “Done” is your own record and has no external effect.
Back up your work
Inkframe saves to your device as you type and keeps a bounded history of earlier versions, but no software is immune to device loss, hardware failure or user error. You are responsible for keeping your own copies. The app provides an export and a full backup for exactly this purpose, and you are encouraged to use them.
No warranty
Inkframe is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose. Binary Data Technology does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Binary Data Technology is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of Inkframe. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here affects statutory consumer rights you may have in your country.
Open source components
Inkframe includes open source software licensed under the Apache License 2.0. The complete list is in the app under Settings, then Licenses.
Changes
These terms may change when the app changes materially. The effective date above will be updated, and the current version always applies to the current release.
