Folioset Privacy Policy
Folioset helps you create and export carousel designs on your Android device. For privacy questions, contact binarydatatechnology151@gmail.com.
Information used on your device
Folioset stores project titles, slide text, layout and colour settings, selected photos, optional logos, saved styles and editing preferences in the app's private storage. It also stores local project identifiers and modification times to organize your library and reopen your work. These identifiers are generated for local records; Folioset does not send them to a server.
The app does not require an account and does not include advertising, analytics, subscriptions or cloud AI services. Its core functionality does not send your projects or images to Binary Data Technology. Folioset does not request the Android internet permission.
Selected images
You choose images with Android's document picker. Folioset reads only the files you select and creates app-private working copies. It may resize and re-encode these copies and apply the source image's orientation so they can be used in your designs. Original source files are not changed or deleted. The app does not request broad photo-library access or location access.
A document picker may include cloud storage providers configured on your device. If you select a file from one of those providers, that provider supplies the file under its own terms and privacy practices.
Exports, backups and sharing
Folioset creates temporary PNG, ZIP, PDF and editable-backup files in its cache. Files become available outside Folioset when you choose to save, open or share them using Android's system interfaces. Opening or sharing an export gives the selected app access to that file. Saving to a cloud-backed location can upload the saved file through your chosen provider. The recipient app or provider handles the file according to its own privacy practices.
A .folioset backup contains readable project text, style settings and copies of the photos and logo used by that project. These backups are not password protected or encrypted by Folioset. Anyone who obtains the backup can read its contents. Keep backups in a location appropriate for your material.
Folioset does not log in to social platforms or publish posts automatically.
Retention and deletion
Projects and saved styles remain in app-private storage while you keep them. Removing a project deletes its saved project record, with an undo copy held temporarily during the app session. Imported image copies are retained locally to support undo and shared use by projects and styles, including after an image is replaced or a project is removed. Project removal therefore does not erase every imported image.
To remove all Folioset app-private data, use Android Settings to clear Folioset's storage or uninstall the app. Save any editable backups you want to keep first. Temporary export files may also be removed by Android when it clears app cache. Files you saved to another location, backups, emailed attachments and copies received by other apps are outside Folioset's private storage and are not removed by deleting a project or uninstalling Folioset. Remove those copies in the relevant location or app.
Folioset disables automatic Android backup and configures its app data to be excluded from Android cloud-backup and device-transfer domains. Its supported way to move projects is a backup you explicitly export and import. Device manufacturers and storage services may provide separate transfer features governed by their own settings and practices.
Security
Local files use Android's app-private storage. Folioset uses bounded file validation when reading selected images and backups, and temporary file grants when sharing exports. Local project and backup files are not encrypted by Folioset itself. Protect your device and choose carefully where you save or share files.
Support messages
The Contact support action opens your email app. A message is sent only if you choose to send it there. Binary Data Technology receives your email address and the message and attachments you choose to provide, and uses them to answer your request and handle related follow-up. Your email provider also processes the message according to its own policy. Do not include sensitive material that is unnecessary for your request.
Support correspondence is retained while needed to resolve the request and associated follow-up. You may request deletion by contacting the same support address; any applicable legal retention obligation will be explained in the response.
Audience and updates
Folioset is intended for creators aged 13 and over. It does not ask for an age or collect information to profile children. If app behavior or data practices change, this policy will be updated to describe them.
